Richard Wilkins

Richard is the most recognisable and trusted name in Australian entertainment, with a steller career of 30+ years since launching MTV Australia in 1987.

He has, and continues to, interview the biggest names in the business...including the Rolling Stones, Madonna, Fleetwood Mac, Bruce Springsteen, Rod Stewart, Ed Sheeran, Barbra Streisand,
Tom Cruise, Beyonce, David Hasselhoff...and everybody else.

Richard has hosted the annual G’Day USA Gala, the Australian celebration held in Los Angeles, 12 times in addition to the Golden Globes and Oscars coverage for the past 20 years.

In 1996 Richard was invited to Atlanta to host the Olympic Games’ evening celebrations at Centennial Park in front of 100,000 people each night with special guests including Santana and Elton John.

For the past couple of years Richard has travelled to Maastricht in the Netherlands to host maestro Andre Rieu’s hometown concert which was subsequently played in cinemas around the world.

Richard's book “Black Ties Red Carpets and Green Rooms” was a best seller.

Richard has won two ACRA awards (Australian Commercial Radio Awards) for best Music Special – for his productions with John Farnham and Michael Buble.
