As a food and travel writer, Kate Gibbs’ work and wanderlust centres around best in taste.

In addition to working as a journalist, Kate is contributing editor at Delicious magazine.

Gibbs is regularly hired as a photographer, stylist, MC and host, collaborating with brands as a creative director, social media consultant, digital strategist and influencer. 

Kate's creative skill set, sharp focus on high-quality content and innate eye for detail is highly sought after, and she has worked with Le Creuset, Electrolux, Belvedere Vodka, the Taste festivals, Tourism Australia, Magnum and many others.

Her ability to tell stories about food, about the people who grow, catch, forage, champion and cook food is second to none.

Kate has published three cookbooks, the most recent also a memoir, Margaret and Me (2015). 

Her work has featured regularly in The Sydney Morning Herald, The Wall Street Journal, Sunday Style magazine, Sunday Life in The Sun HeraldAustralian Gourmet Traveller, US-based AFAR magazine, The London Evening Standard, among others. 

Kate co-authored The Foodies Guide to Sydney in 2011, 2012, 2013, and was a major contributor to SMH Good Food under $30 and the SMH Good Cafe Guide for six years. She was anthologised in the collection Voracious: Australia’s Best Australian Food Writing with the essay Future Food. She has won awards for her writing, including a National Press Club journalism award.

Named one of Australia’s Top 100 most inspiring women in the June 2013 issue of Madison magazine in the area of Health. Kate is also an ambassador for Earth Hour.
