Andrea Burns

An award winning journalist and accomplished presenter

Award winning journalist Andrea Burns is a skilled presenter and facilitator for any event and audience. She has reported on some of the biggest stories in the news over the past two years, appearing on ‘Today Tonight’ and ‘Channel Seven News’.

Graduating from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Arts, Andrea was employed as a Training Officer by Aherns (now David Jones). During her time there, she learnt what it means to handle a crowd, by facilitating daily courses, including inducting new employees and teaching managers how to get the best from their staff.

Andrea was lured into the world of journalism, starting her media career at Channel Ten in Perth. She reported on some incredible stories including the Gracetown cliff collapse, court dramas and the effects of many prominent business leaders.  She also produced and presented a weekly Arts segment.

Head-hunted for her skills by ‘Seven News’, Andrea proved her worth as both a reporter and presenter. She was a popular member of the ‘Today Tonight’ team, reporting on a variety of stories including the release of a Perth Zoo orangutan being into the wild and an opportunity to interview Imelda Marcus.

Juggling her media commitments as well as presenting, writing and media training, Andrea also tutors in Broadcasting at Edith Cowan University. She is an in-demand MC/facilitator for corporate and government conferences, awards evenings, seminars.
