Brooke McIntosh's journey is deeply rooted in resilience and adaptability. Growing up in a FIFO family from the age of 12, she learned the importance of flexibility and strength in the face of constant change. Working as a truck driver and being part of the mining industry for 5 years, she faced her own mental health challenges. Now, she aims to spark conversations about FIFO workers' mental health, drawing from her personal experiences to advocate for greater support and awareness.
Despite battling anorexia, overcoming anxiety and depression in her youth, to then being diagnosed with PTSD and bipolar disorder, Brooke's life took a dramatic turn after surviving a series of accidents in 2022, including a scooter and high-speed car collision.
Given a second chance at life, she embraced choices aligned with her authentic self, embarking on a mission to raise awareness for mental health by running an astounding 1600 km.
In 2023, Brooke ran from Pilbara to Perth - 1600 kms to raise awareness for Mental Health and raised more than $70,000 for mental health organizations. Brooke is now on a mission to help others build an unstoppable mindset and bulletproof confidence to achieve their wildest dreams.
With her mantra “JUST ONE MORE” driving her forward, Brooke defied all odds. Garnering national attention through features on Channel 7 News and Good Morning America, she conquered daunting terrains and battled adverse weather conditions on her journey from Karratha to Perth, showcasing not only her physical strength but also her unwavering spirit and resilience.
