Inspiring Australian Olympian and keynote speaker
Born in Sudan in the midst of a civil war, Peter Bol would flee the country with his family before arriving in Australia as a refugee. Beginning his new life in Toowoomba as a young child, Peter would go on to becoming one of Australia’s most inspiring Olympians.
A promising athlete all throughout his school years, Peter cemented his name as a distinguished middle-distance runner when he represented Australia in the 2016 Rio Olympics. Not long after, Peter continued his Olympic career in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, where he finished 4th in the Men's 800m track final. He is the first Australian in 53 years to qualify.
In 2023, audiences will witness Peter being put to the test as a recruit on Channel Seven’s SAS Australia 2023.
With his athletic talent and ambitious attitude, Peter also inspires young athletes as a mentor and coach. He is passionate about engaging with audiences through his own life stories, exploring the inner workings of himself as an athlete and as an individual at different points of his life.
