Hetty Kate’s distinctive vocal features are often compared to a young Peggy Lee or Doris Day. Her style of vocals and fun word play has made her very popular and she has been invited to perform right across the globe including Chile, Vietnam, Switzerland, Hong Kong and North America.
Hetty is the frontrunner in many smaller bands but is often asked to perform with larger bands including The B# Big Band (Australia), The Pearly Shells (Australia) and The Stray Katz (Hong Kong).
In the last five years, Hetty has appeared on seven albums of which, four are her own bands, with three being released in the same year.
Hetty’s bands ‘The Irwell Street String Band’, ‘The Hetty Kate Quintet’ and ‘The Twenty 20s’ are all quite different from one another but are adjoined by their vintage styling’s and unique song choices.
