One of the most popular stand-up acts of his generation
Stand-up comedian Jimeoin is one of Australia’s favourite entertainers. The writer/performer is widely known for his superb stage presence and witty musings on the nonsenses of everyday life. He routinely sells out at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Jimeoin has toured worldwide and is a regular at Montreal’s Just for Laughs Festival.
In the mid 2000’s, Jimeoin toured the major city circuit and the outback regions of Australia. He became the first comedian to tour ‘over the top’ of the country, playing a mix of hotels, theatres, swimming pools, cattle ranches, stages and bars. The tour was filmed for The BBC’s ‘Jimeoin Down Under’ Special. He performed additional sell out shows in Ireland, Paris and Edinburgh.
Jimeoin has been a familiar face on Australian screens for decades now, featuring on Rove Live, Thank God You’re Here, Full Frontal, Bligh, The Midday Show, Good News Week and Tonight Live. His own show Jimeoin consistently dominated ratings between 1994 and 1995. In 2005 Jimeoin released his second comedy film, The Extra, which he wrote and starred in.
In 2021, Jimeoin starred in Ten’s Waltzing Jimeoin; an intimate stand-up tour where Jimeoin and his friends visits Australia's best-known landmarks, interacting with travellers he meets along the way.
Jimeoin is a highly engaging and professional entertainer; with a remarkable abundance of hilarious anecdotes and years of stand-up experience behind him, Jimeoin is an excellent MC and is available for bookings now.
