Dean Boxall

2019 ASCTA Coach of The Year and Coach of Swimmer Ariarne Titmus.

Having gained internet fame for his wild celebrations during the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Dean is also known as the coach of some of Australia’s most talented and successful swimmers.

Originally from South Africa, Dean has been in or around the water his entire life. Now he finds himself as the head coach at the prestigious St Peters Western swim program in Brisbane, one of Australia’s most respected programs for elite swimmers. The program is known for supporting top talent, with alumni including past Olympic stars Stephanie Rice and Leisel Jones.

He has been a swim coach for over two decades and has been described as “one of swimming’s new rock star coaches” and one of the rising stars of the coaching ranks. Known for his passion for the sport and commitment to his athletes, Dean has been likened to coaching icon Laurie Lawrence.

In 2019, Dean was named ASCTA Coach of The Year, joining a “who’s who” of Australia’s legendary list of swim coaches. This includes the likes of coaches John Carew, Doug Frost, Denis Cotterell and Ian Pope.

As a speaker, Dean is eager to share his many run-ins with success and his insights into his Olympic and sporting success.
