Inspiring adventure and philanthropy as the founder of Outspire
Josh Stinton pairs his extensive experience in the corporate world with his passion for philanthropy. As the founder of Outspire, he has been inspiring people to embrace adventure and spread awareness for important charitable causes.
After completing his tertiary education in International Business, as well as a Masters in Banking & Financial Regulation, Josh has built an impressive career working in a range of fields, including in event production for major festivals like TEDxSydney and Vivid Ideas Festival, as well as in management consulting as a “design thinking” facilitator to create innovative solutions to business challenges.
In 2012, Josh’s life would change forever on a friendly dare. Despite having never skied in his life, he agreed to participate in a 90km cross-country ski race in Sweden, one of the most challenging ski races in the world.
Recognising the importance of challenging himself, Josh finished the race and went on to establish Outspire, a community raising awareness for small charities by undertaking some of the hardest challenges around the world.
Since then, Josh continues to add to his growing list of accomplishments, including representing Australia in Unicon, a 14km downhill mountain unicycle race, and mountain biking in the Arctic Mountains of Alta Norway, the world’s toughest 700km off-road race.
With a list of challenges planned for the next few years to come, Josh has no intention of stopping his support for various charities.
His passion for philanthropy has been recognised with a number of accolades, including Project Future’s top honour: being crowned with the “Stella Fella” title and named their national ambassador for anti-sex trafficking.
Known as the “Charity Adventurer”, Josh inspires others to action through keynote presentations, facilitating workshops, and of course, participating in challenges around the world. He is also available for video opportunities and brand partnerships.
