Founder and ‘Big Bird’ of online fashion retailer 'birdsnest'
As founder of online retailer birdsnest, Jane Cay is on a mission to help women disocver outfits and fashion they fall in love with.
Jane first completed her commerce degree, before joining the e-business team at IBM. She had a dream to make big waves in the corporate world, however she soon fell in love with a farmer and made new plans for her life.
In 2004, Jane bought a clothing store and discovered how real retail therapy actually was. Four years later, she launched birdsnest online, mirroring the support and warmth found in-store, online.
Over the past decade, birdsnest has grown substantially, and has sent out over one million parcels both nationally and internationally, all with a handwritten note inside.
In 2019, birdsnest was named the Australian Retail Associations ‘Independent Retailer Of The Year’ as Jane continues to use innovation to exceed customer expectations.
