Full Presenter Profile & Bio
Clare Bowditch is an ARIA award winning musician and writer, Logie nominated actor, one of Australia’s most respected public speakers and a mother of three.
Clare has won the Rolling Stone Woman of The Year Award for her contribution to Australian culture and has been invited to tour with several of music’s greatest acts including Leonard Cohen, Gotye and Paul Kelly. She has been a community singing leader for nearly 20 years, well-known for her prowess in fostering an atmosphere of confidence in her groups and encouraging people to overcome their fear of singing publicly.
In 2020 she was awarded an ABIA Award for 'The Matt Richel Best New Australian Writer' for her first book Your Own Kind of Girl,’ where she bares her truth in the hope that it inspires anyone who has battled with their inner critic. Her eighth album is set to release in 2021. She is also an Ambassador for Smiling Mind, APRA, and The Stella Prize.
Clare is also the founder of ‘Big Hearted Business,’ which she started in 2012. Through BHB, she fosters a community of people who teach creatives about business and businesspeople about creativity. Two years later she joined eco-warrior Joost Bakker to implement one of the largest food-waste-free Business Conferences in the world.
With sharp intellect and creative flair at her fingertips, Clare Bowditch is a highly talented speaker suitable for any event. She has a very broad range of topics to speak about and is capable of engaging audiences with her humour and wit.
We had the pleasure of having Clare Bowditch as our MC and Entertainment. Clare was such a pleasure to work with, so warm and welcoming, not to mention so very professional. Clare took the time to ask all the right questions, to make sure she knew how we wanted to day to run, and the key points of information. Clare engaged with the audience, which wouldn’t have been easy to do in a room of 730+ women, ranging from 16 – 80 years. Clare also sang a song which was just beautiful- very talented. I would most definitely recommend Clare as an MC or entertainment for your next event.
