Alisa Camplin is one of our best known Olympic Gold Medallists. Her Courageous story is one of inspiration, determination and overcoming adversity. Alisa is a tough competitor who broke nearly every bone in her body while winning medals in two consecutive Olympics and breaking World Records as an Aerial Freestyle Skier. In 2002 Alisa became the first female Australian to win a Gold Medal in the Winter Olympics. In her motivational speech she shares her experience of the physical, mental and emotional dedication required to be the best in the world. Her personal journey is one of mental health and wellbeing and personal and professional success.
Alisa has over two decades of accomplishments as a corporate global executive and has worked with academics and performance psychologists and behavioural scientists to teach practical solutions and small changes that can lead to positive sustainable outcomes. Alisa also covers areas such as shifting mindset, working through adversity and inspiration through humility with her personal story.
As an executive for IBM she has also had success in the corporate world and had been the performance manager for the Australian team at the PyeongChang Winter Olympics in 2018 as well as roles at the Australian Sports Commission as deputy chair, Australian Sports Foundation chair, and a Collingwood Football Club director.
Alisa received the personal honour in 2007, being awarded the Order of Australia Medal and becoming a Member of the Order of Australia in 2018.
In 2011, Alisa turned a personal tragedy into positivity, co-founding the charity Finnan’s Gift. The charity has raised over $2.5 million for paediatric cardiac care.
