Full Presenter Profile & Bio
Not having any idea of what she wanted to be when she grew up except, she definitely wasn’t going to be a doctor, because that's what her parents wanted her to be, Jenny chose to follow her heart and study what she was interested in. Always fascinated by how things worked, she spent countless hours exploring her world, collecting plant specimens, insects and spiders and conducting various experiments at home, some of which didn’t quite produce the expected outcome like the time she set the kitchen on fire and the occasion she caused the living room ceiling to collapse by flooding a bathroom.
Her curiosity, love of learning and desire to be of service to others took her to first to nursing, qualifying as a Nightingale Nurse and then to medicine, after discovering that scrubbing bedpans and cleaning up vomit wasn’t her perfect career choice after all. Her goal was to enter general practice and she set up her own group medical practice in the northern suburbs of Perth, practising family health care as she believed it should be practised, with care, dedication and love.
But as her business grew ever more successful, Jenny was increasingly frustrated by what she saw as a medical system relying on Band-Aid solutions rather than a willingness to get to the nitty-gritty of what was really making people sick, and more importantly what would keep them well?
Which is why she left clinical practice for a voyage of discovery into the emerging neuroscience, behavioural science and positive psychology, translating the findings into simple practical tools to enhance thinking, healthy habits and smarter ways of working.
Today as a speaker, author and trainer Dr. Jenny works with business leaders, educators and those keen to develop a greater self-awareness of why we think and behave the way we do, to challenge unhelpful thinking patterns, and tap into what works to help us all to be better humans and achieve the success, fulfillment and happiness we desire.
Dr. Jenny is quite simply amazing. Her very affable style and manner, as well as her content, made her an enormous hit at our conference. From the moment she got on stage, it was clear that everyone in the room was enthralled by what she was discussing. So without any hesitation, we would certainly recommend her to talk at your next business meeting or conference so you can find out more about the brain and how a few simple things can have a massive impact on our lives.

Dr. Jenny Brockis, what a dynamic, motivating and effective speaker. She provided an insightful approach to how we can all integrate principles of brain fitness into our lives and work to help maintain sufficient cognitive stamina, positive mood and better thinking, so we can all get our work done and done well. I'm amazed that so much of the information that Jenny shared continues to resurface in our organization to this day. This certainly indicates how much of an impact she truly had on our management team and our organization.
