Rob Shehadie

Actor, Stand-up Comedian, and MC.

It has been a whirlwind couple of years for Rob Shehadie. With TV appearances spanning over 20 years, he is known best for starring in the hit TV comedy, Fat Pizza, playing Rocky and leaving Australians in stiches of laughter. Along with his acting, stand-up comedy and MC work, he has also been an associate producer, stage screen writer, story and writing consultant. To add to this impressive list, Rob has also been a co-creator of Channel Nine’s hit comedy-drama and Logie nominated show, Here Come The Habibs as well as the hit comedy on channel 10, Street Smart. He has been busy to say the least!

Rob has toured the country with several stage show comedies and made hundreds of appearances at schools, nightclubs and charity events. He has worked with the who’s who of the industry and has been booked for countless private and corporate functions doing stand-up comedy and MC work.

Before turning to acting and comedy, Rob was a full time Rugby Union player, representing Australia and New South Wales at schoolboy, under 19’s and under 21’s levels. He also represented Lebanon in Rugby League. Injury forced Rob to prematurely end his promising football career. However, his love of sports has led him to team up with many sporting groups since then, including NRL Rugby League, Cricket Australia, A-League and NBL, entertaining as well as being an MC to the crowds that attend the games.

Coming from a family with a Lebanese background but born Australian, Rob has much comedic material, which is inspired, from his own life as well as others around him. He created the hit comedy, From Lebanon with Love (parts 1 and 2), which has been hailed as one of the most successful and celebrated independent theatre shows Australia has seen in recent years. It was performed in Adelaide, Melbourne and Rob’s hometown of Sydney, where the shows proved extremely popular – more than 40 shows were performed in Sydney alone with 70,000 attendees.

Charity work is very important to Rob and he is an ambassador of many good causes including the Save Our Sons charity. He was also part of a safety campaign for NSW Maritime that promoted jet ski safety via TV, radio and online commercials. Rob had a strong influence on this campaign, creating the slogan and script. It further went on to win a Government Award – “NSW Community Education Project of the Year.” Rob has also partnered with TAFE Western Sydney Institute and launched the “Educating Rob” and “Robs Campaign” web series that spanned over 2 years.

Over the years, Rob starred in Celebrity Apprentice – Channel Nine, and has also made cameo appearances on 20-1 – Channel Nine, Bondi Rescue – Channel Ten, Renovation Rescue – Channel Nine, The Footy Show (NRL) – Channel Nine, Swift and Shift – SBS TV, Housos – SBS TV, Housos Vs Authority – feature film and Fat Pizza Vs Housos – feature film.
