Megan proudly identifies as a Warumungu/Yawuru woman, hailing from the Larrakia Country in Darwin, where her deep connection to her indigenous culture fuels one of her greatest passions.
Although Melbourne has been her second home for the past decade, Megan initially established her career in the fitness and wellness industry there. Often referred to as "Megzy," she has built an impressive portfolio within the fitness sector, earning recognition as a highly sought-after, fully qualified Personal Trainer and Group Coach. Megan recently opened her own gym in Melbourne, Airlocker, specializing in group training under altitude conditions.
In addition to her fitness endeavors, Megan was named a NIKE Trainer and Ambassador, advocating for fitness, health, wellness, and training principles. She firmly believes that our health, both physically and mentally, is our most valuable asset, which is why she dedicates the majority of her time to exercise and mindfulness practices. Her commitment to wellness is unwavering.
Megan ventured into the media world in 2021, becoming the newest face on NITV's popular show, Yokayi Footy, where she co-hosts alongside Andy Krakour. She eagerly anticipates another successful year for the show in 2023. Through Yokayi Footy, Megan seizes a remarkable opportunity to use her platform to educate and promote a deeper understanding of Indigenous culture. She feels deeply honored to represent her culture and sport on screen.
Megan's versatility extends to her role as a Boundary Rider for FOX Footy's AFLW coverage, and her skills as a master of ceremonies and corporate host are in high demand. She has overseen various events for organizations like the AFL, Dreamtime at the G, The Carbine Club, Toyota, and Kinaway. With a wealth of energy, a balanced yet playful approach, and a refreshing openness, Megzy is undoubtedly a rising star in her field.
