Clara Durodié is a technology strategist specialised in applied artificial intelligence (AI) in financial services.
Formerly, Clara served in leadership roles in European asset and wealth management in the UK, Switzerland and Luxembourg. Clara works with Board of Directors, academia and AI start-ups. Her focus is AI ethics and the strategic AI adoption for business profitability.
Clara also mentors AI startups on funding and growth strategy. Clara is an internationally recognised name in applied AI in financial services. Clara advises Boards of financial institutions, leading think-tanks and Governments.
More recently, Clara was invited to advise the World Economic Forum’s 4th Industrial Revolution Centre in San Francisco (US), the All Parliamentary Party Group for Artificial Intelligence (UK) and Ministry of Finance’s special commission on Artificial Intelligence (Japan).
In June 2018, Clara was appointed as a member of European Union Artificial Intelligence Alliance, an EU governmental body. Clara was featured in two global lists: Top 100 Women in Fintech produced by Lattice80 (2018) and The Powerlist Women in Fintech produced by Innovate UK (2016, 2017). Clara is the Chair of the Non-Executive Directors onBoard’s special committee on Best Practice for AI adoption (UK) and a member of IEEE Global Initiative on Ethics of Autonomous and Intelligent Systems (USA).
Clara has a strong record of speaking engagements at prestigious Fintech and AI conferences: SIBOS (Canada, Australia), Money 2020 (Europe & Singapore), Intersekt (Australia), Fin/Sum and Reg/Sum (Japan), AI World Boston (USA), Finovate Europe (UK and Hong Kong), Innovate Finance Global Summit (UK) and Fund Forum International, Berlin (Europe) and other events in Thailand and Malaysia.
In April 2018, Clara was invited as an expert on the ‘AI module’ for the University of Oxford’s highly acclaimed Fintech course. She was also invited to contribute with expert opinion in The Roubini Report which is considered the centre-piece research in asset and wealth management.
In June 2018, Clara was invited to present at the highly respected Goshal Conference, at London Business School, and address academia from leading universities like Harvard, Stanford, MIT, Cambridge as well as McKinsey and BCG.
In 2015, Clara started scoping the research for her PhD which sits at the intersection of neuroscience, artificial intelligence and asset management. Her focus is on how episodic memory informs how people save and invest.
Clara is a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (UK), has a Certificate in Investment Management (UK) and holds a Master’s degree from the University of Oxford.
