As one of Australia’s leaders in personal finance, Effie Zahos is dedicated to making everyday financial advice as accessible and comprehensible as possible.
Effie graduated from the University of Queensland with a degree in economics before beginning her career as a graduate trainee at one of Australia’s big banks. Not long after, she pivoted to broadcast TV in 1997 as a head researcher for Channel Nine’s Money Show.
Since then, Effie has grown her journalism career as the editor of Money Magazine, as well as the go-to finance expert on the Today Show, A Current Affair and Sky Business News. Effie has also made regular guest appearances across Australian radio with her popular Word on Money segment.
Outside of this, Effie shares her expertise as an author, publishing several books including ‘Real Girl's Guide to Money: From Converse to Louboutins', as well as the children’s financial literacy book, 'The Great $20 Adventure'.
With extensive presenting experience, combined with over two decades of financial expertise, Effie specialises in tailoring personal finance tips to any audience.
