Driving Inclusive Leadership and Gender Equality at Scale
Julie Bissinella is Chief Executive Officer of Champions of Change Coalition, a globally recognised leadership strategy that drives progress on gender balance, respectful workplaces, and inclusive gender equality in decisions and design processes.
Julie brings more than 25 years’ experience leading innovative and practical responses to complex social and workplace challenges across corporate, government and community sectors. Her career spans executive and director-level roles focused on ESG, Community Engagement, Corporate Affairs and system design at organisations including Bupa Asia Pacific, ANZ Banking Group, and the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, as well as entrepreneurial ventures in media and communications.
A long-time member of the Coalition’s leadership, Julie has worked with Founder Elizabeth Broderick AO, Chair Andrew Stevens, and our Members to design and deliver system-level strategies that are now adopted across sectors and amplified globally as best practice. She has played a key role in shaping the Coalition’s strategy, flagship initiatives, 15-year review and 2030 vision for inclusive gender equality.
Human rights, gender equality and inclusion are throughlines of Julie’s career. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from RMIT University, is a Williamson Community Leadership Fellow and an original Member of the Australian Government’s National People with Disability and Carers Council. Julie is also a member of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Equity 2030 Alliance Expert Group, focused on equality and inclusion by design.
