Interior design guru Darren Palmer from Darren Palmer Design Studio is well known for his stylish and classic interior designs. Once again, he brings his special aesthetic and personal panache to his role as a judge on the 2014 edition of The Block.
Darren has a range of experience, having studied fine art and originally starting his career in advertising and owning his own graphic design company. After succumbing to his true passion, Darren now operates his interior design studio and has contributed to GQ Australia, Luxury Home Design, Renovate and Grand Designs Australia Magazine, while also featuring as a judge on Channel 9’s successful franchise “The Block”.
Darren works primarily in residential design and has completed many beautiful projects over the years, with his work gracing the pages of Belle, Grand Designs Australia Magazine, Design Decoration Annual, Real Living and Renovate Magazine to name just a few.
Darren enjoys sharing his expertise and point of view and is regularly employed to speak about his experiences, including MCing the media launch and presenting a seminar at Decoration+Design 2012 as well as teaching the key points of adding value to property through design and hosting design sessions at Coco Republic Design School.
With relationships with brands such as Carpet Court and Nespresso, Darren is an exciting ambassador, presenter and representative with a prestige, aspirational positioning.
Darren maintains that the most important quality of an interior designer is to be true to your own aesthetic, as it is the most important factor in developing and evolving your own signature style.
