Sarah ROWAN is not your typical artist, she’s a Creative Futurist, trailblazing speaker and thought leader, and one of Australia’s top speed painters, known for turning blank canvases into powerful stories of transformation in mere minutes. For over two decades, Rowan has electrified stages across the globe, using her brush, and her voice, to inspire individuals and organisations to reimagine what’s possible.
With a paintbrush in one hand and a microphone in the other, Rowan fuses art with storytelling to spark innovation, ignite creativity, and challenge the status quo. She’s redefined what it means to be an artist, pushing the boundaries of a traditionally solitary pursuit into a live, immersive experience that captivates audiences and opens minds. Whether painting for Google, Nestlé, Ferrari, Sydney Airport, ANZ, or the Salvation Army, her performances consistently deliver one message: creativity isn’t a luxury, it’s a necessity for shaping the future.
To date, Rowan has performed at over 550 live events, raising more than $380,000 for charity, all while painting at speed and speaking with power. Her presentations are vibrant, authentic, and often laced with humour, drawing on her personal journey of overcoming depression and chronic illness to step boldly into her truth.
After graduating from Converse College with a BFA in Studio Art in 2003, Rowan started an art business in Greenville, South Carolina, USA before moving to Sydney to expand her horizons. It was in Australia that she refined her philosophy of creative futurism, a dynamic approach to innovation that encourages individuals and organisations to use today’s resources to create better outcomes for tomorrow.
