As a proud Yankunyjatjara and Wirangu woman, Shelley Ware is passionate about representing her culture on TV and in sports. She is well known as being a part of the ground breaking SBS football program 'Marngrook'.
Shelley Ware is the host of the web show Colour Of Your Jumper and hosts her own Facebook show Ware2Now? sharing everyday people’s stories. She is a member of ABC’s Outersanctum podcast, also appearing regularly on the Facebook show Broad Radio.
Shelley writes a fortnightly AFL column for the Koori Mail. Shelley is also a well sought after Master of Ceremonies and a regular keynote presenter to corporations and events. Espousing her perspective on females in sport, AFLM and AFLW, Aboriginal issues, childhood education and her own journey. She was named the 2019 Fujitsu General Football Woman of the Year.
Shelley is also a teacher and is passionate, about embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander History and culture into classrooms and the national curriculum. She consults and works closely with school’s, teaching and upskilling staff and leadership, in Aboriginal History and Culture. Shelley hosts workshops in Aboriginal history, culture and art within primary and secondary school classrooms around Australia.
As a regular MC and Keynote presenter, Shelley has spoken at numerous events on the topics of her personal journey, her perspective of females in sport, Aboriginal issues and childhood education.
