Deborah Knight

Journalist, Presenter, Radio Host, Speaker & MC

Deborah Knight, a graduate of Charles Sturt University and accomplished journalist, embarked on her media career at 2WG in Wagga Wagga, accumulating over 15 years of industry experience. Radio, her initial passion, led her to Mix 106.5 in Sydney, followed by a notable stint at the ABC, where her versatility in journalism earned her recognition.

Deborah's journey transitioned from radio to television with her role as a presenter/reporter on the ABC TV show Landline. Her interviews with the Prime Minister at the ABC caught the attention of Channel Ten, marking her move to commercial television. Covering significant events, including September 11, from Ten's US bureau in Los Angeles, Deborah became a prominent figure in the industry.

Returning to Australia in 2004, Deborah became the co-anchor of Sydney’s Ten News at Five bulletin in 2006. In 2011, she joined Channel Nine's on-air news team, and in 2019, she made history as the co-host of the Today Show in its first-ever all-female host lineup. Simultaneously, Deborah continued to read the Weekend News for Channel Nine.

In 2020, Deborah made another breakthrough by becoming 2GB’s first female talkback radio host, taking over from Steve Price. Her show has gained strong ratings, showcasing her continued success in the industry. Deborah, along with her husband Lindsay, is a proud parent to three children: son Darcy and daughters Elsa and Audrey.
