Alisa Camplin AM is one of Australia’s most celebrated Olympic Gold Medallists and a highly respected business leader. Most recently, Alisa has been appointed Chef de Mission for the Australian Team at the Milano–Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games, creating history once again as the first female to lead an Australian Winter Olympic Team. This prestigious appointment reflects her deep expertise in high performance, leadership and resilience across both elite sport and business. In 2007, Alisa was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia and became a Member of the Order of Australia in 2018 in recognition of her outstanding service to sport, business and the community.

A fierce competitor, Alisa broke nearly every bone in her body on her journey to winning medals at two consecutive Winter Olympic Games and setting world records as an Aerial Freestyle Skier. Remarkable, she went from never having seen snow to standing on top of the Olympic podium in just eight years. In 2002, Alisa became the first Australian woman to win a Gold Medal in the Winter Olympics. Beyond elite sport, Alisa has built an impressive corporate career spanning more than two decades. She spent 16 years with IBM in senior leadership roles across strategy, sales and service delivery, setting direction for $800M+ technology businesses, leading large teams, driving cultural change, improving performance and profitability, and achieving sustained growth in highly competitive markets. Her experience working alongside academics, performance psychologists and behavioural scientists has enabled her to deliver practical, evidence-based solutions that audiences can apply immediately.
Alisa continues to play a pivotal role in Australian sport through senior leadership and governance positions. She previously served as Deputy Chef de Mission at the Beijing 2022 Winter Games, Performance Manager for the Australian team at the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympics, and Chef de Mission for the Innsbruck 2012 Youth Olympic Games. She has also held key governance roles including Deputy Chair of the Australian Sports Commission, Chair of the Australian Sports Foundation, Director and now Patron of the Collingwood Football Club, and Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee for the Australian Olympic Committee.
In 2011, Alisa transformed personal tragedy into purpose by co-founding the charity Finnan’s Gift, which has raised over $2.5 million for paediatric cardiac care. She is also a respected Brand and Community Ambassador, collaborating with organisations, industry leaders and researchers to create wellbeing, resilience and high-performance initiatives that deliver meaningful, sustainable outcomes.
