Aaron Pedersen

Aaron Pedersen is an Arrernte man who was born in Alice Springs a little more than 30 years ago. After training as a television journalist, Aaron had a natural transition into acting.

Through his work on Wildside, Water Rats, MDA, Territorians, Grassroots, Black Jack, East West 101 and The Secret Life of Us, SBS mini-series, The Circuit, and the Seven Network series, City Homicide, Aaron has been able to champion the changing representation of Indigenous people in Australia.

His film work includes Dead Heart, Saturday Night, Dark Love Story, Unfinished Business, Mimi, Mirror Images and De-Evolution. Aaron wrote and starred in the acclaimed documentary My Brother Vinnie, which won multiple festival awards and saw him recognised as Male Actor of the Year and nominated for Outstanding Achievement in Film at the 2007 Deadly Awards.

On stage, Aaron has performed with Australia’s leading theatre companies, including the Melbourne Theatre Company (King Lear, Cost of Living), Sydney Theatre Company (The Visitors, Signs of Life, The Club), Black Swan (The Accidental Death of an Anarchist), and Queensland Theatre (Eating with Your Eyes Closed).

Aaron has proved himself as an actor of great charisma and talent. He is noted in his profession and community as an outspoken and passionate advocate for cultural values. Aaron is also an experienced MC and guest speaker, known for his warmth, insight and authenticity.
