Tayla Damir

With a degree in Journalism and Broadcasting, Tayla landed her first commercial radio job in Byron Bay at a local radio station, where she developed her skills as a presenter. 

After being cast in the first-ever series of Love Island Australia in 2018, Tayla’s first foray into radio was cut short. 

Tayla won Love Island Australia 2018 and became known for her warmth and authenticity by fans of the show. Since then, she has created and built a personal brand and profile outside reality TV, appearing as a guest host on shows such as Getaway, Talking Married and Talkin’ ‘Bout Your Generation. 

Tayla is now a sought-after digital influencer and broadcaster for her fashion and beauty content. She is the ambassador for numerous beauty, health and fashion brands, including Bangn Body, Michael Arthur Diamonds and JSHealth. Tayla has also released her own scrunchie range, “Tayla xo”, and launched a makeup range in collaboration with MCOBeauty, “MCOBeauty x Tayla Damir”.

Born and raised in Perth, Tayla is one of Australia’s young popular digital influencers and media personalities, boasting a huge social media presence. Her fanbase continues to grow due to her genuine and compassionate digital presence. She has become a role model for young women. Tayla is incredibly passionate about breaking down stigmas faced by the youth daily and prides herself on using her platforms to do so.

Tayla is a proud Beyond Blue Speaker and is known for sharing details of her struggles with mental health, body image and domestic violence. She is drawn to helping others and is dedicated to guiding others on how to grow from these experiences and where they can find help.
