Australian Cricket from South Africa Sandpaper Gate until Now
We not me
Managing during a crisis, working together as a team and rebuilding a culture.
Justin Langer was appointed coach of the Australian cricket team two years ago following what became known as Sandpaper Gate, ball tampering allegations against three Australian players during a South African tour. The nation was outraged, and cricket was in crisis following one of the biggest scandals in its history. Justin needed to rebuild the shattered team, restore the respect of the nation for its previously much-loved cricket team and change the culture.
Two years later all of these goals have been achieved along with the retaining of The Ashes.
In this current pandemic climate there is no one more qualified to speak about managing in a crisis, dealing with pressure, working together as a team and rebuilding a culture.
