Dominique Rizzo published her first cookbook in 2011. “My Taste of Sicily” where she shares her passion for cooking fresh, regional fare from her beloved Sicily. She shares this passion for food in her role as head chef and partner of Mondo Organics catering, restaurant and cooking school in Brisbane.
Rizzo has a firm belief the seasonal, fresh produce will improve your vitality, health and wellbeing. The desire to share this knowledge saw Dominique launch Pure Food Cooking, a business where she delivers cooking classes, demonstrations, and private presentations. Her skills are also utilised as a food stylist for magazines and publications. Rizzo’s position as an ambassador for several organisations sees her assisting with recipe creation, endorsements and product promotion. Dominique’s talent came to light after appeared on “Ready, Steady, Cook”, a role which kicked off the beginning of more than ten years experience in media. This was followed by guest spots on “The Circle” and a regular gig on Channel Nine’s “The Morning Show”. Rizzo also made regular appearances on national radio.
Dominique’s takes delight in providing her unique “Pure Sicilian Food, Wine and Cooking Tours” where she travels with, hosts and teaches groups the delight of Sicilian food, using regional produce against an awesome backdrop of this beautiful location.
