Justin Hamilton

Award-winning Australian comedian and entertainer

Justin Hamilton is one of Australia’s most beloved entertainers. Best known for his critically acclaimed stand-up comedy, he has also proven his comedic talent as a podcast and radio host.

Justin has toured the country as part of the Melbourne Comedy Festival Roadshow, as well as to sold-out shows at Adelaide Fringe and the Melbourne Comedy Festival. He has been recognised with several accolades including the 2007 Melbourne Comedy Festival Director’s Award and the Adelaide Advertiser’s Best Show Award in 2008 for his show “Three Colours Hammo”.

The following year, Justin returned with “The Killing Joke” and was nominated for Best Show at the Melbourne Comedy Festival. He continues to perform every year with critically acclaimed stand-up shows, including “Goodbye Ruby Tuesday” and “Idiot Man Child”. He has also supported Wil Anderson on his national tours for over six years.

Off-stage, Justin delivers his charming wit on regular guest appearances on TV and radio. He was a co-host of Triple M’s weekend breakfast team alongside Charlie Pickering and Terri Psiakis, and also contributed movie reviews on Perth’s number one rated Mix FM. As an actor, he also played the recurring character Biscuit in the comedy series "The Librarians".

Since then, Justin has gone on to produce the top-rated podcasts “Can You Take This Photo Please” and “Helliar and Hammo Dig Flicks”. He has interviewed high-profile entertainers, including Rove McManus, Simon Pegg, Judith Lucy, Dave Anthony, Stephen Curry, Steve Carrell and "Red Dog" director Kriv Stenders.

Justin also started curating his own comedy night in 2011 alongside his friend Adam Richard. The Shelf quickly became a huge success, with high-profile entertainers from all over the country clambering to get on the bill. The event boasted an incredible roster of comedians, including Wil Anderson, Tony Martin, Deanne Smith, Mick Molloy, Dave Hughes and Felicity Ward. Justin was able to renew the event for a second year thanks to the warm reception from venues and entertainers around the country.
