Dannii Minogue

Television personality, fashion designer and author

Dannii Minogue is one of Australia’s most enduring and prominent multi-talented personas. A fashion and entertainment icon, Dannii’s global success speaks volumes about her hard work and ability in the fields of music, fashion, and television. Her huge following is a testament to her influence as a creative force; with 1 million Twitter followers and nearly 400,000 Instagram followers, Dannii’s fanbase spans the entire world.

Her contribution to the world of entertainment was recognised officially by Southampton Solent University with an honorary Doctorate of Media and also by The TV WEEK Logie Awards in 2017 where she received the honour of being the inaugural official ambassador and a judge for the Graham Kennedy Award for Most Outstanding Newcomer.

In 2021, Danni launched her exclusive podcast series, The 90’s with Dannii Minogue, where she makes a deep dive into the fashion, music and figures of the 1990’s that established that decade as one of the most extraordinary and special eras history has ever seen.

In 2011, Dannii was selected in Vogue’s Top 3 most stylish women worldwide. This cemented her place in the fashion world and allowed further growth in her fashion label Project D London to occur. The label was hugely popular for its output and its long list of high-profile fans, including Kate Middleton, Elizabeth Hurley and Dannii’s sister Kylie Minogue. In 2014, she introduced Target’s first ever line of petite clothing with the ‘Dannii Minogue Petites’ collection. The collection was launched at the Melbourne Fashion Festival and was met with rave reviews and record-breaking sales. She has since continued work with Target, designing more petite clothing for women who struggle to find clothes small enough to fit their size and shape.

Dannii is equally well-known for her work in television. In 2021 she returned to The Masked Singer for its third season, where her panel duties put her on the screens of millions of Australian homes each week - frequently the number one most viewed program of the evening. Dannii, dubbed ‘Inspector Minogue’ topped the panel again in season 2 for most correct guesses. She also co-hosted the Australian version of Netflix’s reality competition series, Ultimate Beatmaster, alongside Nick Cummins (aka. The Honey Badger). The series follows competitors along a difficult obstacle course; the winners from each episode compete in a grand final each season. Dannii describes the show as a sporty version of The Eurovision Song Contest.

Dannii’s work in television judging and hosting in Australia and The UK have sparked huge audience engagement in the programs she has been a part of, including: ‘The X Factor UK’, ‘Australia’s Got Talent’, ‘Britain and Ireland’s Next Top Model’ and ‘The X Factor Australia’.  Dannii first stepped into the television judge’s chair in 2007, launching Australia’s Got Talent. She worked on six seasons of AGT, which was followed by three seasons on The X Factor Australia, after already having been a judge for four years on The X Factor UK with Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Cheryl Cole. In 2010, Dannii announced it would be her final year on the UK program, and she went out with a bang; her act won a one million pound recording contract, coming out on top of One Direction and Rebecca Ferguson.

Dannii is no stranger to the charts. In 1990, she released her debut Top 10 single and album Love and Kisses. A string of Top 10 chart hits followed internationally including Jump To The Beat, This Is It, Put The Needle On It, I Begin To Wonder and You Won’t Forget About Me. Dannii proudly holds the music title Queen of the Clubs after scoring a record-breaking 14 Number One dance singles in the UK; more consecutive than any other female artist in the world.

In 2015, Dani and her sister Kylie made headlines everywhere when they performed together on television for the first time in 30 years. The two sang their Christmas hit 100 Degrees from Kylie’s Christmas Album, which took number one spot on the iTunes music video charts. Dannii then appeared for a surprise performance of 100 Degrees at Kylie’s Christmas concert at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall. 100 Degrees reached the Number 1 spot on the UK Official Vinyl singles chart for 2016. Dannii has since toured with her band in Australia as special guest of Culture Club and Take That. Continuing her passion for music into 2017, Dannii released further tracks ‘Holding On’ and ‘Galaxy’ written by Sia.

In 2009, Dani released her autobiography ‘Dannii Minogue My Story’, published by Simon & Schuster. Reflective, introspective and with sales exceeding 300,000 copies in the UK alone, the book was a tremendous success.

Aside from the world of entertainment, Dannii supports various organisations including The Nappy Collective, St Kilda Mums, the Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre and CVQO.
