Ricky Ponting

Ricky Ponting holds one of the most successful cricket careers in the history of the game. He has been a past captain of the Australian team and ranked highly both nationally and internationally. Highly sought after for a range of events, he is the perfect motivational speaker for a wide variety of audiences.

Reaching international standards as a batsman at an early age, it wasn’t long for Ricky’s impressive skills to be featured within the cricketing world. In 1995, at age 20, he made his One Day International and Test debuts.

By early 2002, he achieved One Day International captaincy and two years later was appointed Test captain.

Within the duration of his career, Ricky was constantly ranked within the top-five batsman by the International Cricket Council in both One Day International cricket and Test matches. He was also ranked as number one for an extended period.

In late 2013, Ricky retired from cricket after earning a significant amount of titles for his impeccable playing skills. He was Australia’s leading run-scorer in both Test and One Day Internationals, won more Test and One Day International matches as both a player and captain than any other Australian cricketer and is second in total runs scored in Test match cricket.

Ricky released his autobiography ‘At the Close of Play’ in 2014, which documents his life’s experiences from his childhood to the highs and lows of an international cricket career and his eventual retirement.

An experienced and professional speaker, Ricky Ponting speaks honestly and openly about his experience and uses it to help motivate his audience.
